FitFocus allows you to compare sport, occupational and leisure time activities with guidelines in
Health Canada's Physical Activity Guide for Active Healthy Living.
It provides related information about physical activity and associated health benefits and risks. FitFocus is designed to assist teaching of health and physical education providing the instant feedback students appreciate with the detailed analysis essential for a critical evaluation of lifestyle choices.
FitFocus was released in 2003 and version 1.1 was released in October, 2006.
FoodFocus is an easy-to-use nutrition analysis program that helps you choose foods
for a healthy lifestyle. Instant feedback on selection ensures effective learning. Although targeted at junior
and senior high schools, FoodFocus has been used from elementary school
to university education and in public health across Canada since 1993. Version 3.4 with food data from the 2007
Canadian Nutrient File data, Health Canada Dietary Reference Intakes, changes to be compatible with
Health Canada's Food Guide updates and more nutrients including
considerably more information about polyunsaturated fats was released in January, 2008.
